About the communication board

Elevator and escalator installations are built around a relatively small number of serviceable assemblies, but they fail at very different rates. The communication board sits in the control board / PCB group, and it is replaced on a different service interval from the assemblies around it. In practice the failures we see on communication board come down to electrolytic capacitor ageing, cracked solder joints around the power stage, corroded edge connectors, and blown output transistors after a supply fault.

Every communication board we supply is inspected before dispatch.
