Elevator Door Hanger Roller
Overview
Elevator door hanger rollers are the wheels that carry the door panel on the overhead track and keep it running straight as it opens and closes. They take the full weight of the panel, so their condition decides how quietly the doors run. One Elevator supplies replacement hanger rollers, complete hanger assemblies and the eccentric adjustment parts used to align the doors.
Applications
They are replaced in passenger lifts, hospital beds lifts and service lifts in residential blocks, office towers, hotels and shopping malls, and fit OTIS, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, ThyssenKrupp and Fujitec door systems. Worn rollers are the usual cause of door noise, jerky travel and doors that drift out of alignment. Flat spots are the classic failure, and they make the door judder once per revolution. Where doors are noisy but the rollers look sound, the track is usually the cause, so we recommend inspecting both before ordering.
Types and Range
- Hanger rollers with polyurethane, nylon or steel treads
- Complete door hangers with brackets and eccentric axles
- Rollers with sealed ball bearings for quiet running
- Anti-derailment rollers and up-thrust rollers
- Track rails, brackets and fixing hardware
- Complete roller sets per car door or per landing door
Tread hardness is selected to suit the door weight and duty cycle.
Selection Guide
Confirm three dimensions before ordering: outer diameter, bore and width. Then check the load rating — a heavy hospital bed lift door needs a larger roller than a standard passenger door. Rollers should be replaced as a full set per panel, because mixing new and worn rollers leaves the door hanging unevenly. Each roller is tested for radial run-out, hardness and bearing clearance before packing.
Ordering and Lead Time
Stock sizes dispatch in 5-7 working days; full sets take 10 days. Send the roller diameter and bore, or the door operator model, and we will confirm fitment before you order.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I order door hanger rollers?
- Give us the roller diameter and bore, or the door operator model. The mounting bracket and eccentric axle need confirming too.
- What are the signs that a hanger roller needs replacing?
- Door noise, a panel that drops at the leading edge, or a wheel with a flat spot. Rollers usually go as a set of two.
- Do you sell rollers in pairs or in sets?
- Both, and full sets take about ten days. Sending the door operator model is usually faster than measuring each wheel.
