Scope and How to Read This Document
This document is a consolidated identification reference for spare parts used on SIGMA elevators, escalators and moving walks. SIGMA is the export brand of Otis Elevator Korea (OEK), created in 2000 after Otis merged with the elevator division of LG Industrial Systems; it replaced the earlier GoldStar (1968-1994) and LG / LG-OTIS (1995-1999) brands in overseas markets. In practice, the parts population therefore spans three overlapping generations of nomenclature – GoldStar, LG / LG-OTIS, and SIGMA – which is why a single unit may carry both a DOC-xxx functional code and an AEG / 2R / 3X manufacturing code for the same board.
Parts are grouped into eleven systems. Each line item carries a part ID or model reference, a part name, a short functional description, and an application note.
Source Flags
- A – The part ID is confirmed against public OEM or aftermarket catalogues circulating in the global spare-parts market. These IDs can be quoted directly when requesting a quotation.
- B – Functional category item. Suppliers list these under a generic description or a model-derived reference rather than one fixed OEM ID. Dimensions, load, speed and serial number must be confirmed against the specific unit before ordering.
Ordering Precautions
- Always quote the elevator serial number and the data-plate of the existing part; board revisions (for example DOC-132 rev A / B / C, or AEG08C734*A versus *E) are not always interchangeable.
- Manufacturing codes (AEG, 1R, 2R, 3X, DEA, KAA prefixes) identify the physical board; functional codes (DOC, DPC, DPP, DHG, DCL, DOR, DHI prefixes) identify its role. Both are listed where both are known.
- Escalator parts are specified by pitch, roller dimensions and tooth count – measure the existing part before ordering.
- Safety components (governor, safety gear, buffers, door locks, brake coils) must be matched to the certified configuration of the installation and re-verified after replacement.

SIGMA parts are supplied through Otis Elevator Korea, regional subsidiaries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong), the Suzhou and Hangzhou manufacturing sites, and an independent distributor network covering more than sixty countries. There is no single publicly published master catalogue: the authoritative reference remains the unit-specific parts manual keyed to the elevator serial number, held by Otis and its distributors.
This list therefore consolidates every part family that can be documented from open market sources – controller boards, drives and power supplies, communication and relay boards, car and landing fixtures, complete door systems, sensors and encoders, traction machines and brakes, safety components, guide and counterweight hardware, escalator and moving-walk components, and service tooling. Items marked with source flag B are functional categories for which the market uses model-derived rather than fixed OEM references; they are listed so that a request for quotation is complete even where no single catalogue number exists.
- For a quotation, provide: unit serial number, model name, controller type (from the DOC / DPC / MCB board label), rated load and speed, number of stops, and a photograph of the existing part data-plate.

About the escalator
Elevator and escalator control systems are built around a relatively small number of serviceable assemblies: the drive and motion controller, the main control or mother board, the power stage, the encoder feedback interface, and the door or brake control module. The escalator is one of those assemblies, and like every board in the cabinet it is replaced on a different service interval. Each carries its own set of reference numbers depending on the original equipment manufacturer and the revision of the installation.
Every escalator we supply is inspected before dispatch. Boards are checked for physical damage, capacitor condition and connector integrity, and are packed to survive international transit. Where a superseded revision is the only one available, we state that clearly and explain the substitution so that the installing engineer can make an informed decision.
Buying guidance and compatibility notes
Before ordering escalator, confirm three things. First, the exact part number and revision from the failed unit. Second, the equipment model and controller family it was installed in, since the same board can be used across several product lines. Third, whether the installation is a traction lift or an escalator, as the duty cycle and current rating differ between the two.
If you are unsure which revision of the escalator you need, send a photograph of the nameplate and the existing board alongside the fault description. That is usually enough for our team to identify the correct replacement without a site visit, and it avoids the cost and delay of returning an incompatible part. We are also happy to advise on the other serviceable assemblies in the same controller, so that a planned shutdown can cover several wear items at once.
