Escalator Spare Parts

Overview

Escalator spare parts are the wear, drive and safety components that keep an escalator, autowalk or moving walk running between major overhauls. They run from the handrail and step band passengers touch to the chains, sprockets and brakes inside the truss. One Elevator supplies the aftermarket range for the escalator and moving walk models installed worldwide, with parts matched to your machine, not a catalogue number.

Applications

They are replaced daily on escalators in metro stations, airports, shopping malls, hospitals, hotels and department stores, and cover equipment from OTIS, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, ThyssenKrupp and Hyundai. Mixed fleets are normal, so most customers order for several brands in the same week. The pressure is always the same: a short shutdown window and a maintenance team that needs the right part on the first delivery.

Types and Range

The range is organised around the assemblies that wear fastest:

  • Step band and drive — step chains, main drive chains, sprockets and drive belts
  • Handrail system — handrails, guide rails, inlets, friction wheels and handrail drive chains
  • Step and track — steps, moving walk pallets, step rollers, demarcation lights and chain tensioners
  • Safety and interfaces — comb plates, skirt brushes, skirt panels and safety switches
  • Braking — service brake linings and brake bands for the main drive
  • Consumables — rollers, brushes, fasteners and the small parts that hold a service together

Every item is dimensioned against your sample, drawing or serial plate before production.

Selection Guide

Three details decide whether a part fits first time: the machine brand and model or the truss serial number, the part reference or a photo of the old component with its key dimensions, and where the unit runs — indoor, semi-outdoor or fully exposed. Duty matters as much as size, because a chain specified for a light indoor unit will not survive a twenty-hour transit station. All parts are produced to EN 115-1 and batch-tested for tensile strength and elongation.

Ordering and Lead Time

Send a parts list, the machine plate or a photo of the worn component and we will identify what fits and return a firm quote within one business day. Stock sizes ship in 5-10 days.

Frequently asked questions

How do I identify the right part for my escalator?
Send the brand, model or truss serial number plus a photo of the old component with its key dimensions. That is enough to match most items.
Can I order parts for several escalator brands together?
Yes. Mixed fleets are what we handle most, so a multi-brand parts list is normal and usually ships as one consignment.
Can you supply a complete maintenance kit?
Yes. Give us the machine list and the service interval and we will build a kit with the wear parts each unit is due for.
